GREAT Summer Camp Registration Information and Process

How to Register

In order to register for the University of Utah GREAT technology camps, please fulfill the following steps:
  1. Choose a camp session: Look at camp descriptions at the "Overview" tab and available dates under the "Dates" tab and pick an appropriate camp and week. Camp topics repeat each week, so please do not register one camper for multiple sessions of the same camp. If you want to check for spaces in the camps, please start the Online registration process as shown in the next step. You will be able to view current enrollments in that system.

  2. Online Registration: Fulfill the online registration and liability waiver process using our online registration (requires credit card).

  3. Logistics: Please review the additional information below about drop-off/pickup and locations.

  4. Manage Your Account: You can manage your account at ActiveNetworks.

PRIVACY POLICY REGARDING CHILDREN UNDER 13

These websites have been designed to be informative, accessible, and safe for kids of all ages, and to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. Children are encouraged to browse our various web pages with their parents in order to find age-appropriate classes.

Our site is not intended for children under 13 to self-register for classes or other activities. Parents or guardians are required to register for any students under age 13. As stated above, all registration information (submitted by parent/guardian) resides on secure servers, and is never sold, rented, or shared with any outside organization or entity.

Cancellations and Transfers

If you need to cancel your registration, a refund, less $10 processing fee, will be given until one week prior to the start date. Due to supply and teacher commitments we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than one week before the start date. If space is available, you may transfer to alternate camp week.

The GREAT camp reserves the right to cancel sessions due to insufficient enrollment, in which case a full refund will be made.

Pick-up/Drop-off

If you are responsible for picking-up or dropping-off your child, please do so promptly. The drop-off period is from 8:45-9:00AM each day - after 9, our staff will be busy in the classrooms. The pick-up period is for 10 minutes after the listed end of class. For the 9-3 camps you may drop-off from 8:45-9 and pick-up from 3-3:10.

Please look for an email from the registration system with the most updated pickup and dropoff information. We will be using the east side of the Warnock Engineering Building and the start and end point for the day or the parking lot north of the Merrill Engineering Building. Please check the email sent the week before camps start for the most updated information.

The week before camp starts you will get more detailed information about camp locations, maps, lunches, and policies. Please make sure to share this information with others who may be needing to pickup or dropoff campers.
