Dr. David Johnson
Dr. David Johnson is a SoC research scientist in computer graphics,
virtual reality, and robotics. He first taught at a computer camp as a
high school sophomore, and currently teaches graduate courses in
robotics and virtual reality and an introductory pre-major course. He
was the main graphics lecturer from 1997-2002 for the previous SoC
summer camps. Dr. Johnson also reaches out to various Utah schools for
students to compete in robotics competition clubs, including ones
using the Mindstorms robotics kits
GREAT Summer Camp Instructional Staff
The camps are taught with the help of a number of graduate and
undergraduate assistants, typically with an instructor to student
ratio of 5:1 to 7:1 in order to provide quality assistance and feedback to the campers.
