CS 4960
Fall Semester 1999
Problem 14-1
Assigned: 30 November 1999
Due: 9 December 1999
Apply what we have learned in Chapter 9 to explore
output analysis issues for your simulation project. This
means you must:
-
Compare fixed-sample size and the sequential
procedure for your simulation.
-
Use gamma = 0.10 for relative error.
-
Use reasonable absolute error.
-
From the exploratory experiment, esitmate cost
per replication.
-
From the exploratory experiment, estimate the
population variance.
-
Give rough estimate of na(beta).
-
Give rough estimate of nb(gamma).
-
Discuss the issues with initial conditions for
your simulation, and your appraoch to dealing with that.
This needs to be done carefully and thoroughly.
